A software company will soon be calling the Coastal Empire home. To welcome the Aelera Corporation to Savannah, Mayor Otis Johnson gave members of the company a key to the city.
Aelera is a technological development services company. Members announced they will be opening facilities in Savannah and Fitzgerald, which will provide jobs for more than 200 people.
"We think there's a very deep technological base here," Aelera's Chuck Stallworth said. "We think the citizens are talented, we believe the schools are fantastic and we think the leadership is dynamic and we're just happy to be here for our future success in Savannah."
The company plans to hire about 250 people over the next two years. Visit them online for more information.
