Drug bust made in Guyton

GUYTON, GA (WTOC) -

Guyton police make a drug bust in the area of Cedar Lane and Davis Street.

Guyton police chief Randy Alexander tells WTOC his officers spotted suspicious activity in a known drug area while on routine patrol. They saw the suspect make an illegal transaction and went after him. After a brief foot chase officers caught the suspect.

Chief Alexander says they recovered a felony amount of marijuana along with scales and plastic bags. Police are still investigating.
