Expect delays on State Route 204 Spur/Whitefield Avenue Monday

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Monday afternoon to have a southbound lane closure and traffic shift.

SR 204 Spur/Whitefield Avenue southbound starting near Montgomrey Cross road and continuing to Lavon Avenue in Chatham County. 

The lane closure and lane shift is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm to 5:00pm on January 7th, weather permitting.

Contractor for Georgia DOT will be working on storm drainage and the removal of the existing roadway.

It will be a WORK ZONE and extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and be aware of all construction signs, barrels and/or cones. Construction workers and equipment will be operating close to travel lanes.
