BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -
Authorities in Beaufort County are investigating a double-fatal head-on collision that happened early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at 12:23 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Okatie Hwy and Tide Watch Dr. A driver in a 1998 Dodge pickup was traveling eastbound on Okatie Hwy and collided head-on with a 2008 Chrysler 300 traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. Both drivers were not wearing seatbelts and were pronounced dead at the scene.
There was a minor present in the Dodge pickup and was transferred to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah by air.
The wreck remains under investigation.
