SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

It was a happy reunion between a deputy and his K-9 partner, J.O.

Effingham County Deputy Tony Cantrell and J.O. were involved in a crash on December 28th, leaving both of them injured.

Effingham County deputies escorted J.O. to Deputy Cantrell's hospital room over the weekend at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. To say the least, both were thrilled to see each other.

Deputy Cantrell remains at Memorial recovering from his injuries.
