CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

A Pooler man and Savannah woman were arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team bust.

CNT got a tip within the last month that 32-year-old Matthew Hankey, of Pooler, was selling Roxicodone pills, according to CNT.

On Monday, CNT undercover agents bought Roxicodone from Hankey.  Agents kept surveillance on Hankey.  He was then taken into custody without incident after what appeared to be a drug deal at a car wash in Pooler, according to CNT.

A search resulted in the seizure of Roxicodone pills, other prescription pills and more than $1,600 in cash.

Paula Bruner, 30, of Savannah, who was with Hankey, was also arrested.  She was found to be in unlawful possession of Roxicodone, according to CNT. Two vehicles were also seized. They were both probation or a similar type release from previous CNT cases at the time of their arrests.

This was Hankey seventh arrest in Chatham County and his third arrest by CNT, according to CNT. It was also Bruner's seventh arrest in Chatham County and her third arrest by CNT since 2011, according to CNT.

Hankey was charged with sale of a controlled substance (Roxicodone), possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (Roxicodone) and use of a telecommunication device.

Bruner was charged with possession of a controlled substance (Roxidocone). They're being held in the Chatham County Detention Center.
