EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is warning consumers about a group soliciting business door-to-door.
Deputies say they have received several calls saying people from out of state are offering to pave properties for a low price.
The sheriff's office said anyone who solicits business should have a business license and a solicitation permit from the sheriff's office. The permit is free and requires a photo ID and a background check.
Anyone who sees suspicious activity should call law enforcement immediately.
