SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan is in Savannah on Thursday.
Donovan is hosting a roundtable discussion with local housing leaders and advocates to discuss implementing the Obama Administration's Rental Assistance Demonstration.
The secretary will be touring the Fred Wessels Homes on East Broad Street, which uses the Rental Assistance Demonstration.
Rental Assistant Demonstration allows eligible public housing agencies and owners to leverage financing to reduce backlog of repairs and improvements.
