Pregnant woman robbed at gunpoint inside sweepstakes parlor

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are looking for a gunman who robbed a local sweepstakes parlor and held a gun to a pregnant woman's head.

CMPD told WBTV just after 1 p.m. Thursday, a man robbed the Winner's World Sweepstakes in the 3400 block of the Brookshire Boulevard.

Investigators say the robber held a gun to a pregnant woman's head during the robbery, possibly causing her to go into labor.

Medic transported the woman to a local hospital.
