Appling Co. mom waives extradition hearing

CHARLESTON, SC (WTOC) -

A mother accused of taking her children from Appling County will soon be returning to Georgia.

Patricia Moon is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center after waiving an extradition hearing on Thursday morning. The Appling County Sheriff's Office says she is expected to be back in Georgia sometime Friday.

Moon is facing kidnapping charges for not returning her children - 7-year-old James Moon and 9-year-old Autumn after not returning them to their father - who was granted custody. They are back with him.
