Shelter Cove Mall demolition begins

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

Demolition has started at Shelter Cove Mall on Hilton Head.

Excavators took down the Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue store Thursday.

Plans to redevelop the 42-acre mall include a community park, a Kroger grocery store, nearly 300,000 square feet of commercial space and more than 200 apartments.
