Officials marked the completion of a new playground at the Charles Ellis Montessori Academy with a ribbon cutting on Friday. The improvements make it a safer, more children friendly environment. Board members say the playground would not have happened without strong support from the parents.
"It is great in the neighborhood in Ardsley Park to have such a beautiful space and it now gives all these growing children a place to come run and play so they can get out the energy and go back in the classroom and learn," said Julie Wade, District 1 school board member.
The new playground was funded using ESPLOST money.
