SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A Savannah man who was shot during a gunfight that occurred after a car stopped in the Nottingham area of Savannah's southside Saturday evening has been arrested on several charges.

Antonio Deandra Jasper, 20, has been transported to the Chatham County Detention Center. He is being held on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and three warrants for contempt of court.

Savannah-Chatham Metro violent crime detectives say Jasper was one of four passengers in a car that stopped in the 7200 block of Garfield St. After the car stopped, Jasper exited the vehicle and began firing into it, hitting one man and a house behind the car. One of the car's occupants fired back at Jasper.

Jasper was taken to Memorial University Medical Center by a family member.

Marcus Chaney, of a Rumper Rd. address, arrived at Candler Hospital emergency room a short time later in the car seen on Garfield St. Chaney was also treated for a gunshot wound.

Neither wound was life-threatening, according to authorities.

Metro detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 912.234.2020 or text CRIMES (274637).
