SCMPD cruiser involved in wreck

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Road workers on US 80 near Bryan Woods Drive were hurt in a wreck involving a Savannah-Chatham Metro Police car on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened near where US 80 meets Bryan Woods Drive. A city worker was setting up a lighted arrow sign when a police car clipped the sign. The sign then smashed into the back of the workers' truck.

The worker was transported to an area hospital. Officer did not appear to be seriously hurt.
