Effingham County Polling Problems Fixed

Election officials in Effingham County are busy preparing for tomorrow's election. Today, they set up voting machines in 21 different locations. Last year, Effingham County had problems with programming on its voting cards, causing the polls to shut down for some time.

That problem has been repaired, but another potential problem--officials say--is voters not paying attention to the ballot. "So we ask the public to please do not press the cast your votes key unless they're absolutely sure that they've gotten on the summary page exactly who they wanted to vote for," said county representative Judy Suhor.

The polls open up at 7am and close at 7pm. As always, you can watch your vote count right on WTOC.
