SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
It was a packed house Tuesday night at the 15th annual Musical Salute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Jewish Educational Alliance. The free concert featured the Savannah Jazz Orchestra and the Savannah Arts Academy Skyelite Jazz Band. The music, like Dr. King's message, brings people of all backgrounds together.
"This is something I started because it was very meaningful to me. The entire community is involved. We have a lot of groups that take part in it. It gives you a good feeling to be part of it," said Larry Dane-Kellogg, Costal Jazz Association.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Jan. 21.
