Man arrested on credit card fraud charges

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

A man wanted on charges of financial transaction card theft was arrested Wednesday.

Beaufort police said Raheem Simmons was arrested at a home on Harrington Street after an alert patrol officer spotted him.

The officer tried to make contact with him and Simmons ran into the home, according to police.

More officers responded. Simmons was found hiding in a closet at the residence.

Simmons has been wanted since February 2012.
