Pooler Elementary School students engaged in friendly competition in the school's annual spelling bee on Wednesday afternoon.
Finalists filled the stage - each already a winner for getting there.
Gayle Beasley managed it very well as always. WTOC's Sonny Dixon called the words again until fifth-grader Joshua Cervantes was the last speller standing.
The finalist was Jailyn Howard. Both students are from Michael Proto's class.
