Coastal Middle School students compete in spelling bee

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Students at Coastal Middle School took part in a spelling bee on Thursday.

After quite a few round, sixth grader Adelaide Robertson spelled empirical and fantastically correctly to claim the title. Seventh grader Maya Glover was the runner up. Adelaide will go on to the district spelling bee in February.

WTOC's Sonny Dixon served as the pronouncer for the event.
