25 SCMPD recruits set to graduate Friday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department recruits will be celebrating the completion of 19 weeks of training on Friday.

A captain and 25 graduates of patrol school will get their Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department badges during a ceremony on Jan. 18 starting at 3 p.m.

Capt. John Best, commander of the Islands Precinct since Jan. 7, will officially be pinned at the ceremony and patrol school graduates will officially become members of the department.
