PORT WENTWORTH, GA (WTOC) -
Georgia Department of Transportation has scheduled a temporary closure and maintenance of James P. Houlihan Memorial Bridge on S.R. 25/North Coastal Hwy in Chatham County.
S.R. 25/North Coastal Hwy will be closed at the James P. Houlihan Bride and traffic will be detoured from 9 a.m. Jan. 22 to Jan. 25, weather permitting.
The detour routes are as follows:
- Motorist heading north on GA-25 N/N Coastal Hwy will turn left onto Bonnybridge Rd; take the 1st right onto GA-21 N/GA-30 W/Augusta Rd; turn right to merge onto I-95 N toward Florence Entering South Carolina; take exit 5 for US-17 toward US-321/Hardeeville/Estill; keep right at the fork to continue toward US-17 S/Whyte Hardee Blvd; keep left at the fork, follow signs for US-17 S/Savannah; turn left onto US-17 S/Whyte Hardee; head south on US-17 S/Speedway Blvd toward S Carolina 170 E/State Rd S-27-84; slight right onto S Carolina 170 W/Alligator Alley and continue up to road closure.
- Motorist heading northwest on US-17 N/Speedway Blvd toward Beech Hill Ln Continue to follow US-17 N; turn left to merge onto I-95 S toward Jacksonville Entering Georgia; take exit 109 for GA-21 S/GA-30 E; turn left onto GA-21 S/GA-30 E/Augusta Rd; turn left onto GA-30 E/Bonnybridge Rd; turn left onto GA-25 N/N Coastal Hwy and continue up to road closure
- GA-25N/N Coastal Hwy will remain open to local traffic up to work zone.
