Cyclist hit by tractor-trailer dies from injuries

FAULKVILLE, GA (WTOC) -

A Bloomingdale man who was hit by a semi truck while riding his bicycle on US 80 on Jan. 9 has died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Douglas Edwards, 56, was pronounced dead at Memorial University Medical Center on Jan. 18.

Edwards was crossing US 80 near the Chatham County line when he was struck.

According to authorities, charges and not expected against the driver of the truck.
