Savannah firefighter injured battling blaze

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A firefighter was injured battling a blaze during a late night house fire in Savannah.

The fire started just before 9 p.m. at a vacant house that is currently under construction on Seiler Avenue at Harmon Street. The fire damaged the entire back section of the house.

Savannah fire officials say a firefighter was injured while trying to contain the fire but his injuries are not considered serious.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
