The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who exposed himself to an employee at a Bluffton store.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the World Market around 8 p.m. Jan. 16 in reference to a reported indecent exposure incident. Deputies met with a 23-year-old store employee upon arrival. She reported that an unknown white male subject had exposed his genitals to her.
The employee told police that she was bent over stocking a shelf when she looked up and noticed the man standing next to her. According to the employee, the man had his genitals sticking out the zipper of his pants and stood there staring at her without speaking.
The employee walked away and told her supervisor at which time the subject exited store. The man was last seen leaving the area on a moped or scooter.
Video surveillance shows a white male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age with brown hair and glasses, wearing a short-sleeve green button-up shirt and khaki pants.
Anyone with information is asked to contact either Investigator Cpl. B. Cooler at 843.255.3423 or Crimestoppers at 1.888.CRIME.SC.
