Deputies: Teen found fatally shot in Colleton Co. home

COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a teen was found dead from a gunshot wound in his home near Cottageville on Thursday.

According to sheriff's office spokesman Ted Stanfield, deputies responded to 3161 Rehoboth Road just before 3 p.m. after a female called and said she found her brother dead from a gunshot when she walked in.

Stanfield said the death was being investigated as a homicide. The Colleton County Coroner's Office has not identified the victim.
