Chatham County Commissioner Helen Stone
told WTOC that the commission is looking at a law that would require all cats
and dogs to be spayed or neutered.
The law would also require owners to
get their pets microchipped, but it would only apply to folks living in unincorporated
parts of the county. This is how the commission hopes to cut down on the number
