
Army Staff Sergeant,
Christopher Hutchison, Senior Medic, "A" Company, First Battalion of the 75th
Ranger Regiment, stationed at Hunter in Savannah, has been recognized by the
United States Army's Special Operations Command, as Medic of the Year, from among
all Army special operations forces, world-wide.
Staff Sergeant Hutchison
recently returned from his fifth Ranger combat rotation in Afghanistan. He was cited by Army Special Operations
Command for both his heroic actions, under fire, as a medic, and also for his
courageous actions as a Ranger squad member in active combat.
Staff Sergeant Hutchison
enlisted in the United States Army in 2006, completed basic training at
Georgia's Fort Benning, returning there for Airborne and Ranger Assessment courses as
well, in addition to considerable medical training at Army facilities around
the nation. Along with the Ranger Tab
and Combat Medic Badge, his other awards and decorations are already numerous,
including two Joint Service Commendation Medals for Valor.
Our congratulations and thanks to 1/75th Staff Sergeant, Chris Hutchison, for his stellar service in the aid and defense of his fellow Rangers, and other warriors, in the continuing fight to secure freedom, while maintaining our own.
