SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Crews are cleaning up after a diesel tank spilled on N Lathrop Ave. in Savannah Friday afternoon. Authorities say the tank came loose from the cab.
The road, which is parallel to Bay St., is located in an industrial area.
According to Savannah Fire spokesman Mark Keller, the tanker was full of fuel but only less than a gallon leaked. He says it was contained quickly. Crews were able to cover the storm drain so none of the fueled leaked in.
Crews are draining the fuel into another tank.
N Lathrop Ave. is closed while crews clean up.
