Fraudulent Bulloch Co. Phone Calls

A warning tonight from the Bulloch County sheriff's office. They say they received a report from a citizen who said he was contacted on his unlisted number by a group calling itself the Georgia Professional Firefighters Association. This group called the citizen on a private line and when he refused to donate to the group, the caller became angry and hung up. They say the organization itself appears to be fraudulent. All citizens should be suspicious of solicitations by phone. Donate to local organizations whom you know and trust or who are recommended by your local firefighters and police.

Orange Crush 2018 is in full effect this weekend, but so is the alcohol ban across Tybee Island. Law enforcement has been preparing for this huge annual event for some time. Patrol cars were lined up along Highway 80 as a cautionary measure to deter drinking and driving. Tybee police say they haven't made any arrests on Saturday, and many partygoers say they are aware of the alcohol ban and are abiding by it.  "So far, most folks are well behaved," said Tybe...
