Driver identified in I-16 wreck in Bryan County

BRYAN CO., GA (WTOC) -

The driver who lost control of their car on I-16 in Bryan County late Friday evening has been identified.

According to GSP, Allen Gay, 18, was traveling down Interstate 16 in Bryan County, near Ellabell, late Friday evening when he lost control of his car causing it to go off the highway and flip into the woods. 

Officials and emergency personnel were able to get Gay out of the vehicle and fly him to Memorial Hospital. No other cars were involved in the accident.

GSP is still investigating what caused Gay to lose control of his vehicle and no word yet on his condition.
