South
Carolina legislators are trying one more time to ban sweepstakes-style video
gaming machines.
This will be
the second time South Carolina lawmakers try to put an end to it. According to
our WTOC Bureau at the Island Packet, the Senate passed a bill last week closing
a "loophole" that prevents operators from placing the gaming machines
in stores and bars.
South Carolina
lawmakers say there is no loophole but want better clarification of regulations
written into the law. The bill is now being considered in the House of Representatives.
