Man arrested on criminal sexual conduct charges

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

A man has been arrested Saturday in connection with a sexual assault.

Bluffton police said Ricardo Alonso Martinez, 29, of Bluffton, was arrested after a police by Bluffton police determined that he had sexually assaulted the victim.

Martinez is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond. He's charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Bluffton police responded to a Sheridan Park Circle on a report of a health and welfare check.

The victim was transported to Hilton Head Hospital for medical evaluation.
