Citizens got second chance to improve the quality of life in the City of Savannah, with the second town hall meeting.
Mayor Otis Johnson hosted the public session at the Savannah Civic Center last night. People lined up to voice their complaints about problems in their neighborhoods as well as how the city responds to those problems.
"Much of the time we are caught behind our desks all day," said city housing director Martin Fretty. "So getting out and hearing what people think we need to improve on, and hearing what they think is working well, is really a benefit from these meetings."
Mayor Johnson worked to make sure citizens got the answers they needed. A third town hall meeting will be scheduled for later this year. We will keep you posted.
