Some Georgia voters will be going back to the polls for two runoff elections.
For the race to replace retiring senator Zell Miller, there will be a runoff on the Democratic side. Denise Majette won handily, but with eight candidates, she garnered just 40 percent of the vote, meaning she will be in a runoff against Cliff Oxford, who came in second. The winner will face Republican Johnny Isaakson in November.
The other runoff is in the Chatham County Commission race for the Fourth District. That race will be between Patrick Farell and Maryanne Heimes.
The runoff election is scheduled for August 10.
