Car slams into semi, bursts into flames in Bulloch Co.

BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) -

There is no word if any charges will be filed after a vehicle slams into a semi and burst into flames on U.S. 301 in Bulloch County. 

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Monday on U.S. 301 southbound at the intersection of Hwy 46.

State troopers say when a red light turned green at the intersection, the driver of a Ford Escort ran into the back of a semi that was carrying cotton. The Ford Escort caught fire along with the back tires of the semi. 

No serious injuries were reported and no one was taken to the hospital. 

Bulloch County rescue arrived on scene within 20 minutes and had the wreckage cleared from the roadway by 9 p.m.
