BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -
The Beaufort County Sheriff's
Office is investigating a body found in a car on fire early Tuesday morning.
The body was discovered in a car
on the side of May River Road near Linden Plantation Drive. Just before 3 a.m.
Tuesday, Bluffton police found a Honda Civic engulfed in flames. Bluffton
firefighters put out the fire and found the body of a female in the driver's
seat.
The car did not appear to have
been involved in any wreck, according to BCSO. The cause of the fire and the
woman's death have yet to be determined.
Positive identification of the
victim is pending completion of an autopsy.
