A former Tattnall County sheriff's deputy was sentenced in federal court on Tuesday.
Ramsey Collins Arnold, 26, of Claxton, pleaded guilty in June to dealing methamphetamine.
He received nine years to serve and five years of probation.
In July 2011, Arnold stole approximately 185 grams of meth that had been seized by law enforcement as part of a drug investigation, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Arnold later traded the stolen meth on the street for Oxycodone for his own personal use.
