Police investigate robbery on W Bay St. in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Metro police were called out on a report of a robbery in Savannah early Wednesday. 

Officers responded to the Chevron station at W Bay and W Lathrop streets around 6:45 a.m. A man there reported that he had been walking nearby around the Wells Fargo on W Bay St. when another man came up and robbed him. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

All officials can confirm at this time is that a robbery did occur and that the suspect is still on the loose. There has been no description of the suspect released yet and no word if this was an armed robbery or not.
