Jan.
30 has been declared Free File Day, which is the first day that the IRS
officially starts accepting 2012 tax returns via its Free File service.
The IRS delayed accepting federal tax returns until Jan. 30 because of the January tax law changes made by Congress, according to a news release.
Free File is free federal tax preparation help and e-file options for taxpayers using fillable taBx forms, electronic versions of IRS paper forms. The forms make the math calculations for you.
