BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

An autopsy revealed that the body of a woman found inside a burning car Tuesday on the side of May River Road in Bluffton is that of 33-year-old Amanda Ryan.

The Beaufort County Coroners Office said Ryan died of smoke inhalation and that her death was caused by smoke inhalation. Investigators have found no evidence of foul play or that the fire was intentionally set, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Firefighters were called at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. When firefighters arrived, they found a Honda Civic engulfed in flames.

Investigators said it appears Ryan backed into the ditch and somehow got stuck and caught the grass on fire, which spread to her vehicle.

Investigators said Ryan's body was in the driver's seat, but they found no evidence the Honda Civic had been in a collision.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
