The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 20-year-old man wanted for shooting two people at a nightclub outside Walterboro.
Sheriff's office spokesman Ted Stanfield said Raymond Peyton Powell, of 601 Greenpond Highway, was wanted on two counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
The shooting, in which two people were injured, happened late Jan. 30 at the Chase Lounge, located at the corner of Proctor and Rivers streets.
Stanfield said Powell should be considered armed and dangerous. Several attempts have been made to apprehend him.
He stands 5'9" tall and weighs about 165 pounds.
Deputies said one of the victims was taken to MUSC in critical condition for multiple gunshot wounds.
Stanfield said another victim was injured in the shooting and was taken to Colleton Regional Hospital in stable condition.
If you have any information on Powell's whereabouts, call the sheriff's office at 549-2211 or 549-6926.
