Wreck ties up morning commute on US 278

Traffic was tied up on US 278 eastbound into Hilton Head all morning due to a wreck.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

Morning drivers on US 278 commuting onto Hilton Head Island Thursday morning were stuck in traffic for a while. A crash near Hilton Head bridges tied up both lanes of eastbound traffic.

At least five cars were involved. Drivers were stuck in traffic all the way back past the Tanger Outlet malls.
