SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Scholarship Gala, the signature fund-raising event for SCAD, takes place Saturday. So far, the annual gala has raised more than $1.7 million in support of SCAD students. Funds raised go directly to the SCAD scholarship endowment.

The 2013 SCAD Scholarship Gala will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Poetter Hall at  342 Bull St. The black-tie optional event includes with music, dancing and special hors d'oeuvres.

More than 100 artworks including paintings, photographs, works on paper, jewelry, sculptures, ceramics donated by SCAD faculty and students will be on display and part of a silent auction.
