Ford Plantation set to begin $7 million restoration project

RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) -

The Ford Plantation, one of the nation's leading residential communities and private sporting clubs, is set to begin a $7 million restoration project.

Acclaimed architects Pete Dye and Tim Liddy, of MacCurrach Golf Construction, are spearheading the design of the Ford Plantation Pete Dye golf course. This project is set to be one of the most extensive private course restorations in the country.

MacCurrach Golf Construction is an industry leader in golf course construction. This is the company's ninth "Pete Dye" project making it a clear choice for The Ford Plantation restoration.

The restoration work will address and correct infrastructure issues on the golf course, including drainage, irrigation, green construction and bunker construction.

The project will begin in October 2013 and is scheduled to be completed by October 2014.
