The City of Savannah is making City Hall more accessible to the public with the First Tuesday tours.
Residents and visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at Savannah City Hall, and view special exhibits highlighting chapters of Savannah's history during this free tour. The First Tuesday Tour series will present an overview of the history, architecture, and art of historic City Hall.
Participants will hear stories about some of Savannah's more fascinating characters, city government, and view two exhibits in Council Chambers dedicated to the Nuclear Ship Savannah and the former Savannah Pharmacy located on MLK Boulevard.
The First Tuesday Tour series will begin at noon Tuesday, February 5, in the City Hall Rotunda. The Tour is free, but space is limited and reservation is required.
To make a reservation, contact City of Savannah Research Library & Municipal Archives Director Luciana Spracher at (912) 651-6411 or by email Lspracher@savannahga.gov.
