TOOMBS CO., GA (WTOC) -
Parents are now allowed to pick up their children from Toombs County schools after the schools were evacuated Wednesday morning.
At about 8 a.m. Lyons police got a tip about a potential bomb threat at Toombs County schools. They weren't specific about which school it was.
The Toombs County schools were evacuated. They brought in the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police bomb squad with a K-9. They swept through the schools.
No direct threat was found. But a back window at the Toombs County High School was shattered.
Suspects were taken into custody, but details are not yet known at this time.
