Man killed backing out of driveway, troopers say

NEWBERRY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Highway Patrol said a man pulling out of his driveway in Newberry County was killed Wednesday night after he was hit by an oncoming car.

Troopers said the crash happened along U.S. 76 about 2 miles west of Prosperity.

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt, troopers said.

The driver's name has not yet been released.
