SCMPD's Animal Control to hold rabies clinic Saturday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Animal Control Unit of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department will be holding a Rabies Clinic on Saturday. This clinic was added after officials inoculated 609 animals during the Jan. 19 clinic.

The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Animal Control Center at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive, behind the Humane Society. Inoculations will be available for $6 each.

Animal Control officers will also be on hand to help handle the cats and dogs.

Micro chipping will be available for $20 and the center will be open for pet adoption during the clinic.

All dogs must be leashed or kenneled. Those prone to biting must be muzzled. Cats must be brought in carriers.
