National Girl Scout Cookie Day debuts

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

On Friday, folks are invited to celebrate the first-ever National Girl Scout Cookie Day.

Guests at Leopold's Ice Cream and the Lady and Sons in Savannah will be able to purchase a special dessert made with Girl Scout cookies.

"This is an excellent opportunity to show what Girl Scout cookies do for the young women in Girl Scouts. This is the largest entrepreneurial group for young women," said Jeb Bush, Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace assistant manager.

Booth sales will begin Feb. 15 and run through March 10.
