Ga. Supreme Court to hear two cases in Vidalia

VIDALIA, GA (WTOC) -

Once a year, the justices from Georgia's high court leave their base in Atlanta.

On Friday, they will be in Vidalia holding oral arguments on two cases from the Coastal Empire. The last time they were in the area was a couple of years ago when the Georgia Supreme Court held a session in McIntosh County.

While in Vidalia,  they will hear an appeals case involving a Chatham County law firm that has been sued for malpractice.

The second appeal is a criminal case out of Screven County where Brandon Lake is appealing his murder conviction and life sentence.
